I should have read @hangingaround post also before flashing model samples onto the cycles though.
Getting a midi cable tomorrow so i can flash back to cycles and add the other mods.

Would be so cool to be able to run both firmwares at the same time.

I also read somewhere that it might be possible to flash digitakt firmware on the sample/cycles. Only bummer would be the display.

You can obtain a much more capable sample engine and keep the cycles functionality by using

It was created by a member of the community and it is also my current choice of OS to work on.

ok just got that installed cossflashing my samples to a cycles and then installing Model-TG. 

So now I have a samples and cycles in one. Fantastic.

I just pushed a new update to the Web flasher for the Model:Cycles! Over the past few days, I’ve been focusing on porting several sound engines from the Syntakt.

Here is a quick look at what’s new:

• 6-channel USB audio support
  
• Extra Syntakt machines: SD VINTAGE, CP VINTAGE, SY TOY, SY BITS, and SY SWARM
  
• TG-Model: an integration of TinyGregAudio's sampler engine, introducing a dedicated filter with attack, release, and resonance controls across every track
  
• Plenty of other tweaks, including brand-new features as well as popular community mods

Installed the Syntakt machines and the Sampler today. Works a treat. The Sampler is really great, tons of options for messing with. Many thanks for this!

Question. I'll go in Latch Mute mode, mute tracks, but they still play until I hit Func again to leave the mode & then it'll finally mute. Is this normal?

I’ve noticed that when you’re in the sampler and want to add a sample, there is no preview function. The sample only becomes available after it has been loaded.

Allow me to make a suggestion: I noticed that the Decay parameter—even when set to 127—causes the volume to drop towards the end of the sample playback (I loaded a 32-step break). I was in "stretching" mode.

Sick work everyone! Was considering selling my cycles but it's not going anywhere now.
Keen to add the syntakt machines and sample engine but does the m:c have 1gb storage and 64mb ram like the samples?

Yep, cycles appears to have same hardware as samples. Odd that they just stuck that 1gb drive there to be completely underused.
