Overbridge Digitakt 1 not working after mod
#1
Overbridge stopped working after I installed the custom firmware 1.53 with the sophie and health mod

Has anyone else discovered this?

I tried reverting back to 1.53 and even 1.54 and still overbridge will not recognize my Digitakt 1

It is also not recognised with stock firmware?
In my experience Overbridge can be buggy sometimes.
Have you tried the casual stuff closing the DAW, closing closing overbridge (over the menu bar) or maybe a restart?
Do you have an other box with stock firmware on it, which works?

It said it needs to be updated to recognize this firmware or something along those lines.

I've tried the stock firmware 1.52A, 1.53, 1.54. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling overbridge.

It will recognize the digitakt when not in overbridge mode but when I select overbridge mode overbridge won't recognize it.

I've also tried factory resetting the digitakt and no change.

I haven't tried a full wipe of the device.

I don't have another box to try at the moment but I'm sure it will work with a non modded device as that seems to be it's issue

Hmm did you turn on, Settings > System > USB Config > Overbridge?
Have you tried an older Overbridge version?

Yes, as soon as switch from overbridge mode to USB or USB midi, it will see the digitakt but when I go back to overbridge mode it disappears.

I just tried installing the newest version of overbridge 2.26.10 and it does the same thing

So far no luck replicating on my end. I created a digisophie + digihealth syx, flashed my digitakt with it. Overbridge connected fine. Flashed to 1.54, no problem still. Flashed *back* to digisophie + digihealth and still have no issues.

Are you running Mac or Windows Overbridge? I am on Windows so maybe that narrows it down.

It seems like the problem lies somewhere else. Have you tried another USB-B cable, or other USB ports?

Do you have Claude? You could also ask Claude to identify the problem.

I had once a program which I had already uninstalled, which interfered with another program.
But even if it had been installed, I never would have come to the idea that they interfere.
I could only solve it with Claude.

I would like to point out that the passing on of firmware .syx files is unfortunately not allowed here for legal reasons.

Solution:

Deleted digitakt driver and upon reinstallation overbridge connection restored
