Digitone 1: Requesting "Strum" parameter for chords

Hi all,

Some MIDI controllers and DAW based MIDI effects contain a 'strum' feature, where there is a slight delay between each note in a chord. Imagine tapping your fingers down one after another, instead of hitting a chord with all fingers simultaneously.

It would be cool if there was a bipolar parameter for chords in the Digitone that did this, where turning the parameter up beyond 12 o'clock created a strum from low notes to high notes with increasing delay, and turning it down below 12 o'clock did a downward strum from upper to lower notes.

This would allow for more articulate arrangements. Bonus if it's P-lockable.

You can currently fake this effect with the arpeggiator, but there's no control over the notes being held, and you can't turn it off, so every note must be arpeggiated. Not ideal for the sort of expressive arrangement that calls for the feature in the first place.

Either way, hoping that someone finds the idea handy enough to develop. Wish I had the time and resources to devote to it myself! Have a good day!

Sadly don’t have the bandwidth these days to dive in myself.
SRR
Midi Arp
Turing machine/MDD Snake
Compressor
MD/MM/ST machines
Fixed Operator Mode in Hz
Samples
Feel free to suggest other ideas here as well

I’d love an option within my Syntakt and Digitakt to disable the recording of externally received midi triggers to the sequencer while in live recording mode, but still trigger the envelopes using the ignored midi notes, while keeping the functionality of being able to live record parameters locks at the same time.

This would enable me to use my Eurorack triggers, which I’d convert to midi and feed the machines.
I like switching my triggers from within my eurorack to different sources for performance reasons and could then use my elektron machines as a sound module with live recordable automation lanes.

Ideally this option would keep the live recording of other midi messages intact to break out more parameters into knob per function via midi.

I hope this even feasible. I’m imagining some kind of solution that works with the sequencers steps filled with trigless tricks, just ignoring the recording of incoming note on/note off, but still using it to trigger the envelopes.

Just signed up here

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in porting the digisophie to the DN1. I really like the machines feature idea for playing live, it feels way more intuitive with the dials working more as a macro assignment rather than all of the fine tuned FM parameters in the pages. It would be super cool if someone has / is working on a port anytime soon. Or if there is something similar then I would love to hear about it.

While recording in Song Mode, continuous sounds between pattern?

This has been bothering me for about a year now.
Is there already maybe some kind of mod that fixes this?
Or do I have to make it on my own
I just copied my original feature request from elektronauts.

While recording in Song Mode, continuous sounds (for example sustained notes or effect tails) get cut when the next pattern starts. This may be expected behavior, but from a musical workflow perspective it feels a bit limiting.

Since seamless continuation is already possible when triggered manually, it seems the engine can handle this case. An optional way to preserve continuous sounds between patterns in Song Mode would be a very welcome quality-of-life improvement.
