About

OT1 is an upcoming custom firmware for the Octatrack MKI by nordseele, the author of octalab. It grows out of octalab's experiments and is built around OType, a small scripting language made for the Octatrack: short functions that place trigs, set parameter locks and conditions, and run from a menu on the unit.

Highlights

OType: one command per line, in the spirit of monome's Teletype (version 1 draft, about 130 operations)
Your functions appear in a popup menu on the Octatrack, with settings you can change on the unit
Operations for trigs, parameter locks, trig conditions, randomness, Euclidean rhythms, parts, the card and sample slots
The OType command reference is already online, with examples

What you need
Nothing yet: there is no build to download. Like octalab, OT1 is applied to your own copy of the official OS.

Good to know
The repository is still a placeholder ("not yet"); releases will appear on this page once they exist. Made for the Octatrack MKI. Released under GPL-3.0.
